    In the context of the COVID-19 pandemics, the Romanian Government has introduced certain facilities for loans granted by credit institutions and non-banking financial institutions to certain categories of debtors under Government Emergency Ordinance no. 37/2020 ("GEO 37/2020") as further detailed by its implementation norms set out under Government Decision no. 270/2020.

    Business restructures: How important is the first statutory consultation notice to employees?

    Constitutional court changes the application of the common law in duplum rule
    2015-03-30

    The in duplum rule is a common law rule that provides that arrear interest ceases to accrue once the sum of the unpaid (accrued) interest equals the amount of capital outstanding at the time (and not the amount of capital originally advanced). "In duplum" directly translates to "double the amount".
